What is Klara-Mail?
Klara-Mail is an optional extension that connects Klara to the inbox you already own, so she can help you through what landed overnight.
She can list unseen mail, fetch a message, file it, and draft a reply. She uses the mail tools rather than inventing senders, subjects, or bodies.
Drafts only by default. Klara writes the draft; nothing sends without you.
It is an extension, not a separate assistant. Sold by Timmisun Limited.
Where your mail goes
Klara-Mail connects only to the mail server you configure, over IMAP and SMTP. That is the one connection it makes. It does not route mail through Timmisun, a cloud relay, or any other service, so Klara still never phones home.
Your mail password stays in your own ~/.config, out of reach of Klara’s desk tools. Folders you deny are not fetched.
What works
- Gmail with an app password
- Any standard IMAP/SMTP mail account
- On-premises Exchange with IMAP enabled
Not supported: Microsoft 365, and Gmail sign-in with OAuth. If your account only allows those, Klara-Mail will not connect to it.
What you get
- Inbox help from chat: list, fetch, file, and draft
- Draft-only sending by default
- Folder controls for what she may read
Requirements
- An existing Klara or Klara-Voice licence on the same machine, on Klara 1.1.0 or later
- Kubuntu with Plasma 6 preferred; Ubuntu or another Debian-based KDE desktop may run it
- A mail account that supports IMAP/SMTP (see above)
How you install
- Pay with the Tide button on this page (use the same email as your Klara purchase where you can).
- Save the attachment from the confirmation email into Downloads.
- Double-click it. Discover asks for your password once.
- Open Klara and add your mail server details. Your existing Klara stays as it is.

Licence note
Commercial licence terms apply at purchase. Mail attaches to your Klara licence on the same machine; it does not add a machine. Fourteen days’ courtesy if it does not fit.
